Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, conducted a field visit to inspect the construction of a vehicular bridge over the Shabanat railway crossing in Zagazig. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the General Authority for Roads and Bridges of the Ministry of Transport, as part of the governorate's plan to facilitate the movement of vehicles, especially heavy transport, reduce congestion, and improve traffic flow within the governorate's cities. 🔹 The governor was briefed by Engineer Amr El-Naggar, the projects manager of the implementing company, on the project's progress, components, phases, and work plan. It was noted that the construction of the 650-meter-long, 12-meter-wide vehicular bridge over the Shabanat railway crossing is nearing completion, at a cost of 334 million Egyptian pounds. The overall project completion rate has reached 80%, and work shifts are being intensified to expedite completion according to the established schedule. 🔹 The governor explained that the project is a vital traffic artery serving heavy transport outside the city of Zagazig, connecting it to the centers of Hehia, Faqous, and Abu Hammad from one direction, and Abu Hammad, Belbeis, and Minya al-Qamh from the other, reaching the regional road from the other direction. This will contribute to easing traffic congestion and ensuring smoother traffic flow within the city. 🔹 During his field visit...the governor followed up on the completion of the concrete pouring work for the bridge, emphasizing his constant and continuous commitment to monitoring infrastructure projects and removing any obstacles facing the companies assigned to carry out the work. He stressed the importance of maximizing the use of public resources in line with the state's direction towards improving services provided to citizens. 🔹 The governor emphasized the necessity of adhering to the highest standards of quality and structural safety during implementation, with daily monitoring of performance rates according to the established timeline. This is to ensure rapid completion and maximize the project's benefits for citizens and facilitate transportation within the governorate.
