Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, congratulated Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Enany on his well-deserved election as Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), making him the first Egyptian to hold this high-profile international position. This election was held following the elections of the Executive Board at its 222nd session, held today at the organization's headquarters in Paris.
The governor affirmed that this honorable achievement is a culmination of the leading position enjoyed by the Arab Republic of Egypt on the international stage and reflects the distinguished competencies of its citizens, who have earned the trust and respect of the international community.
El-Ashmouny also commended the significant support provided by the wise political leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in empowering qualified Egyptian cadres and providing all means to represent Egypt in the best possible manner in international forums.
