Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, accompanied by Major General Amr Raouf, Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of Sharkia Security, and Brigadier General Ahmed Shaaban, Military Advisor to the Governorate, laid a wreath at the Martyrs' Memorial in Zagazig as part of the governorate's celebrations of the 52nd anniversary of the glorious October War victories. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Fatiha (Holy Quran) in memory of the souls of Egypt's righteous martyrs. The military band played the Martyr's Anthem in appreciation of their sacrifices to protect the homeland and to enhance the spirit of loyalty and belonging to our beloved country, Egypt. The governor congratulated the political leadership, the valiant Armed Forces, and the great Egyptian people on the anniversary of the October victories, which embodied the authenticity of the Egyptian people and their Armed Forces and reinforced the spirit of belonging and loyalty to the beloved homeland, Egypt. He prayed to God Almighty to preserve our beloved Egypt under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and that our Armed Forces remain forever an impregnable fortress and a towering monument embodying pride, strength, honor, and dignity. El-Ashmouny also sent his greetings to the souls of our righteous martyrs who watered the pure land of Egypt with their precious blood, setting an example and model of sacrifice and devotion for generations to come. He also paid tribute with honor and appreciation to the men of the Egyptian Armed Forces who are now stationed in every corner of Egypt, alongside their brothers in the police, to preserve Egypt's security, safety, and stability. The governor stated that the glorious October victories are a landmark in Egypt's contemporary history, a lasting source of inspiration, and an eternal message that nourishes the conscience of generations with a spirit of belonging and defiance. They demonstrated the strength of Egyptian will and the determination of our brave soldiers, who sacrificed their pure, noble blood and gave their lives so that the nation would remain proud and the people would remain safe and proud on their land. Their memory will remain a motivation for us to exert greater effort and work to create a better future for future generations. The governor was keen to shake hands with those present, offering them congratulations on the glorious victories of the October War. He emphasized that the Armed Forces will remain a source of pride and honor for the Egyptian people, whose men sacrificed their lives and blood for the honor, dignity, and soil of the nation. This reflects the triumph of the Egyptian will and its commitment to liberating every inch of its precious land, demonstrating that the Egyptian Armed Forces are an example of dedication to preserving national security and cooperating with all state agencies to continue reconstruction and development efforts.
