Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, witnessed the launch of the Purebred Arabian Horse Literature Heritage Competitions, held as part of the 29th Sharkia Arabian Horse Festival, held at the governorate's Al-Safwa Sports Club in 10th of Ramadan City. The competition featured 63 purebred Arabian horses, and he wished the participants top honors and prizes.
The governor affirmed that the Sharkia Arabian Horse Festival, organized by the governorate from October 1: 3, in cooperation with the Regional Authority for Tourism Promotion and under the auspices of the Ministries of Local Development, Tourism and Antiquities, Youth and Sports, the 10th of Ramadan City Investors Association, and the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, represents a wonderful opportunity to enjoy watching the most skilled horses in Egypt under the supervision of a specialized jury of the most renowned judges in Egypt. This represents a significant step for Sharkia Governorate to return the Arabian Horse Festival to the global tourism map.
El-Ashmouny explained that the Sharqia Arabian Horse Festival consistently attracts significant interest and growing international attention. This year, 104 horses from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, and Italy participated in the horse beauty contests, in addition to 63 participants today in the Horse Literature Heritage Contests. This year's Sharqia Festival continues its excellence and leadership in all events, enhancing the Sharqia Governorate's position as a host for major local sporting events.
The governor was keen to thank the participating Arabian horse owners for accepting the invitation and participating in the 29th edition of the Purebred Arabian Horse Festival, which represents a launch pad for a better tomorrow for Sharqia Governorate. He noted that this year's festival awards include shields of excellence and a model of a wild horse representing the Sharqia Governorate logo. |
