Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, held a meeting with Mr. Mohamed Kojak, Assistant Secretary-General of the Governorate; Engineer Ahmed Kamal Idris, Head of the Central Administration for Structural Designs and Research; Engineer Wissam Mamdouh, Head of the Central Administration for Covered Drainage Studies and Designs at the Paving Authority; Engineer Ahmed Fawzy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads and Transport; Engineer Emad Tawadros, Head of the Central Administration for the East Delta Drainage Region; Engineer Mohamed Aziz, General Manager of South Sharkia Drainage; and officials from the Drainage Authority and the consulting office. The meeting was held to review and discuss the necessary studies to cover 1,850 m of Naamna Drain in Minya-Al Qamh center and to establish the engineering and construction frameworks in order to start the project as soon as possible.

The head of the Central Administration for Construction Designs and Research reviewed the project implementation features, which included preparing a study on the construction and engineering status of the old road covers with a total length of 650 meters in various sectors, as well as forming a committee from the Irrigation and Drainage Department and the Roads Directorate to make on-site inspection for  the drains   and the drains on the road and prepare a report on their technical status in preparation to develop the engineering design for the project.
