Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, made a surprise visit to Al-Qurain City to monitor the progress of work at health and service facilities and assess the level of services provided to the city's residents.
The governor began his tour by inspecting the Accident and Emergency Department at Al-Qurain Central Hospital to assess the level of healthcare and treatment services provided to patients. He also ensured the presence of doctors and nursing staff at their workplaces and their adherence to their scheduled work hours and shifts.
El-Ashmouny met with a number of patients in the Emergency Department and inquired about the level of service provided to them. The Governor urged the hospital's deputy director to quickly complete their medical examinations and dispense the necessary treatment, emphasizing that citizen health is a top priority on the executive agenda to achieve a safe and healthy society that contributes to the nation's development.
The governor also inspected the pharmacy and ensured the availability of medicines, serums, and medical supplies and their safe storage to provide the best services to patients.
Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny also inspected the hospital's dialysis unit, which includes 30 dialysis machines serving 106 patients. He emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of the dialysis machines and all other medical equipment at the hospital, and for regular maintenance according to the maintenance schedule specified for each device.
The governor concluded his surprise visit by inspecting the nursery department, which includes 18 primary nurseries and two reserve nurseries, eight of which are vacant. This was to ensure the department's readiness to receive all cases of premature infants weighing less than 500 grams and who are not fully developed. This was done to provide them with all aspects of medical and therapeutic care until they reach normal weight and growth and are safely returned to their families. |
