News Date:September 6, 2025
Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, inaugurated the "Welcome to Schools" exhibition, selling all school supplies and food items. The exhibition is being held by the governorate in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade on Al-Fath Street next to Al-Mabarrah Hospital in Zagazig. The exhibition aims to provide all the school supplies and food items citizens and school students need at prices lower than those available on the market. The governor visited the exhibition pavilions, which include 12 booths displaying all school supplies, including shoes, bags, and uniforms for all educational levels, as well as school supplies such as notebooks, exercise books, and pens. Food items on display include rice, legumes, honey, cheeses, dairy products, fresh and frozen local meats, and sweets marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. The exhibition also showcases products from clients of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency. El-Ashmouny emphasized that the goal of holding the exhibitions is to alleviate the burden and suffering of ordinary citizens and those with limited incomes, and to provide basic and essential goods and all citizens' needs at prices reduced by 20% to 25% compared to market prices. This is in line with state policy and in implementation of the Prime Minister's directives to expand the holding of exhibitions across the country, taking into account low-income families. The governor praised the cooperation of major merchants and the display of their products at reduced prices to citizens, emphasizing the need to continue supplying exhibitions with school supplies and necessary food commodities to ease the burden and suffering of ordinary citizens. The governor went to inaugurate the "Ahla Madaris" exhibition, held in Tahrir Square in Zagazig, which includes 15 stalls selling school supplies, goods, and food items. He checked with citizens present at the exhibition on the set prices for school supplies and the quality of the meat and food products on display. Citizens expressed their happiness at holding such exhibitions, which the governorate always strives to organize to provide citizens with all their basic and necessary goods, including clothing, food, and school supplies, at prices lower than market prices, suitable for those with limited incomes.
