Title:Governor of Sharkia announces the end of the wheat supply season.

Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, announced the end of the 2025 local wheat supply season, and the governorate leads the country with 604,207 tons and 596 kg of wheat supplied to collection centers and silos. He noted that the total area planted with wheat this season reached 370,183 acres within the governorate. El-Ashmouny indicated that this season is one of the most successful local wheat supply seasons, after the governorate topped the country's supply list. The Egyptian government places great importance on the agricultural sector, implementing numerous projects to expand the cultivation of strategic crops. He praised the efforts of farmers in growing wheat and achieving food security in Egypt, as it is a staple food for most people on earth. The governor added that the wheat crop supply operations this year were carried out in accordance with the necessary controls, requirements and various standards to protect it from corruption and spoilage, which contributed to the success of the harvest and supply season and the governorate taking first place in supply at the level of the governorates of the republic. He pointed out that the number of storage sites received for local wheat within the governorate amounted to 54 sites, including silos, barns and developed government hangars affiliated with each of (the Agricultural Bank of Egypt - the Egyptian Holding Company for Silos and Storage - the Holding Company for Food Industries - the East Delta Mills Company - the North Cairo Mills Company - the South Cairo Mills Company - the Mostaqbal Misr Authority), which are used as collection centers for local wheat.
