Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, participated in the 20th Annual Scientific Conference, organized by the Faculty of Medicine at the Scientific Center of Zagazig University Hospitals, under the title "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Diagnosis." The conference was sponsored by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Professor Khaled El-Drandali, President of Zagazig University. The conference was attended by professor Ahmed Abdel-Moaty and Engineer Lobna Abdel-Aziz, Deputy Governor; Professor Ihab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Hilal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Bassem Ashour, former Vice President of Zagazig University; Professor Ahmed Anani, Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Health Policies; Dr. Walid Nada, Executive Director of Zagazig University Hospitals; Professor Ali El-Anwar, Dean of Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University; Dr. Khaled Safwat, President of Sharkia Doctors Syndicate and a host of university professors, department heads and doctors.

The Governor emphasized the importance of participating in scientific conferences to review and learn about advanced research and studies in all the scientific disciplines, especially in the medical field; which in turn will contribute in creating a sustainable movement in the scientific and educational institutions and positively will achieve a healthy society.

The Governor added that the Governorate pay great importance in supporting the health and education sectors, as well as enhancing the cooperation with Zagazig University, which contributes to provide the best medical services to the people of the Governorate. He thanked the University and College administration for the excellent organization of the conference, expressing his hope to gain good recommendations that would translate into real practical steps.

For his side, Professor Khaled El-Darandali, President of Zagazig University, welcomed Al-Sharkia Governor for participating in the scientific conference of Faculty of Medicine at University, emphasizing the continued cooperation and coordination between the University and the Governorate to implement and support the development plans across all the service and development sectors to improve the level of the services which are provided to Al-Sharkia citizens.
