Today, Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharkia, met with (11) citizens from families with special needs and people with disabilities from various centers, cities, and villages in the governorate. The meeting was held in the meeting hall of the General Diwan, to listen to their problems firsthand and provide the necessary solutions in coordination with all relevant authorities, this meeting reflects his commitment to communicating directly with citizens and addressing their needs.

During the meeting, Governor of Al-Sharkia instructed the directors of service directorates and ministry undersecretaries to provide the necessary services and respond to submitted requests, within the limits permitted by law, to help citizens bear the burdens of life and alleviate their suffering. The meeting included a presentation of citizens' requests (suitable private sector jobs, Takaful and Karama pensions, adequate housing, medical treatment, urgent and monthly assistance) from the centers (Zagazig, Hehia, Qanayat, Abu Kabir, Minya al-Qamh, Bilbeis, and Kafr Saqr). After reviewing these requests and examining them with the relevant authorities, the governor decided to:

·      Provide 8 job opportunities in the private sector, based on the health status and social circumstances of the cases.

·      Expediting the issuance of Takaful and Karama visas and integrated services cards for eligible cases after registering on the system.

·      Disbursing urgent and monthly assistance to eight cases, ranging in duration from four to six months, based on social research on the cases.

·      Providing free healthcare and treatment for (6) cases.

·      Providing suitable housing for (3) cases.

§   Providing a medical mattress for a woman suffering from elephantiasis, which left her bedridden, in addition to disbursing EGP 6,000 and a coupon worth EGP 500 to purchase her necessities from a store.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Lobna Abdel Aziz, Deputy Governor; Major General Abdel Ghaffar El-Deeb, Secretary General of the Governorate; Brigadier General Riyad El-Ramah, Military Advisor to the Governorate; Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Education, Health, Labor, and Social Solidarity; the Deputy Director of Al-sharkia Health Insurance Branch; the Director of Clinics at the Red Crescent Foundation in Al-sharkia; a representative of the Takaful Foundation; and the Directors of the Planning, Citizen Service, and Housing Fund Departments at the Governorate's General Diwan.
