Eng. Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, assigned the heads of centers, cities and neighborhoods to carry out field follow-up and tighten control over markets and shops to ensure the availability of food commodities at reasonable prices and to control the markets to combat high prices, and to alleviate the burden of the simple citizen. In this context, Mr. Muhammad Al-Awadhi, head of Al-Husseiniyah Center and City, in coordination with the Department of Environmental and Economic Affairs headed by the Center, and in cooperation with veterinary medicine, health, supply, and the various concerned departments headed by the Center, carried out a large campaign to visit stores throughout the center in order to monitor the markets and ensure the availability of vegetables, fruits, fish, and materials,food, meat and poultry, as well as monitoring prices, production date, product shelf life and quality of the product offered to citizens. The head of the center also confirmed the cleanliness of the place and alerted the committee conducting the campaign to take all legal measures against violators.
