Prof. Dr. Said A. Ossman, the governor of Alsharkia had meeting with the members of the national council for women, headed by Fatma Alsherbiny to discuss the achievements of the council in the governorate.
Fatma Alsherbiny reviewed the objectives of the National Council for Women to improve the economic status of women, its participation in political life, and to strengthen its role in the community, especially after the revolutions of January 25 and June 30, which witnessed active participation by women to express their opinion.
She also discussed the most important projects that have been implemented during the previous period, in collaboration with NGOs and the Directorate of Social Solidarity in addition to many activities, such as conferences, seminars and public meetings in order to make women aware of all the issues and keep coping with the political and various social events, as well as organizing several therapeutic convoys at the governorate level, especially in remote areas and poor coordination with the Department of Health and the Health Insurance branch and youth, Sports and social Affairs and Awqaf of Alsharkia.
