Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al-sharkia, met with Dr. Al-Sherif Manjoud, Assistant Minister of Culture for Follow-up Affairs, and Mr. Amr Farag, Head of the Central Administration of the East Delta Cultural Region, in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Sami Khater, Director General of Al-sharkia Culture Branch, and Dr. Amal Gamal Suleiman, Advisor to the Life Sector at Misr Al-Kheir Foundation, to discuss Inaugurating and launching the “Culture is Life” initiative, which is launched by the Ministry of Culture and seeks to achieve cultural justice and provide community cultural support to Egyptian families in all regions of the Egyptian state, focusing on priority areas - especially those deprived due to geographical distance or societal legacies, enhancing societal responsibility, and building effective partnerships. With government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector, providing an effective mechanism for discovering and nurturing community talent.

Governor of Al-Sharkia welcomed this visit and expressed his happiness at choosing Al-Sharkia Governorate to be the first governorate of the Republic to launch and inaugurate the initiative, stressing the important and vital role played by the Ministry of Culture as one of the soft, effective and influential forces in society that bears the responsibility of elevating and promoting public taste, changing thought and spreading culture among all groups of society, saying, “Culture means the future of nations.”

The governor pointed to the thirst of all the people of Al-sharkia to launch such an initiative, which carries in its portfolio the new, influential and beneficial activities required in the current period, which need to increase the information and cultural implantation in the souls, minds and minds of all sects and groups of society, including (differently capable people, youth and children, fathers and mothers) and emphasizing the meanings of Citizenship, loyalty, belonging, rights and duties, which guarantee everyone a safe life under the umbrella of the great homeland “Egypt”

During the meeting, the governor confirmed that Al-Sharkia, which was chosen as the first governorate to launch the initiative, will be a role model for the rest of the governorates of the republic in implementing the initiative’s activities.
