Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, met with Mr. Sami Abdel-Sadek, Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt, to discuss and enhance aspects of joint cooperation between the bank and the governorate and benefit from banking initiatives provided to citizens to improve the level of public services, in the presence of Dr. Ghada Tawfik, Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank for Social Responsibility, Mr. Ibrahim Atta, CEO of Branches, Major General Ihab Zewail, Head of the Security Group, Mr. Sherif Hassan, Head of the Public Relations Group, Mr. Ashraf Abdel Aal, Head of the Sharkia Bank Sector, and Mr. Amr Al-Muslimi, Director of Corporate Communications in the Sharkia Sector.
The governor praised the initiative launched by the Agricultural Bank of Egypt to support the neediest families in conjunction with the approaching holy month of Ramadan, which will achieve solidarity and social care for a large number of families across the republic.
During the meeting, Al Sharkia Governor witnessed the delivery of food purchase cards issued by Misr El Kheir Foundation, amounting to 750 thousand pounds, with a card value of 500 pounds, to be distributed to the neediest families in the governorate, with the knowledge of the Social Solidarity Directorate, according to the Takaful and Karama database and eligible families at the level of social administrations in various centers and cities of the governorate, so that the beneficiary can purchase food commodities from one of the Kazyon Market branches according to his needs.
El-Ashmouny stressed the importance of continuing cooperation between the governorate and the Agricultural Bank of Egypt in various development fields, in a way that achieves sustainable development and improves the standard of living of citizens.
For his part, Abdel-Sadek explained that the bank's initiative comes from its national role to support and assist the state's efforts to achieve sustainable development, pointing to the continuation of cooperation and coordination between the bank and the governorate to provide all aspects of support and care for eligible families by maximizing the benefit from the initiatives provided by the bank periodically, based on its social responsibility and its role in building and developing society.
