Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al Sharkia Governor, opened and inspected a number of sports facilities at Al-Safwa Sports Club in 10th of Ramadan City, included the opening of an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a gymnastics hall to serve the club’s members, and the club’s team presented a sports show that won the admiration of the attendees. The Minister and the governor also inspected the martial arts gym, which included judo, taekwondo, karate, kickboxing, and kung fu, in the presence of players from the National Project for Talent. Sobhi and Ghorab met with the players of the National Talent Project and the Olympic basketball champions, and they inspected the rare plants garden and the table tennis hall, in addition to watch a basketball match between Al-Safwa Club teams and a group of Her World Project players. During the visit, Sobhi and Ghorab were keen to ensure the continuation of work in the Capitano Egypt project and to witness the conclusion of Hayat Karima World Cup, which brought together the teams of Al-Fouly Youth Center and Al-Munajat Youth Center. The minister praised the sports construction boom in the club and the distinguished work in developing the club in addition to the diversity of social services that the club provides to members. The Minister of Youth and Sports indicated that the Ministry pays great attention to the file of developing the sports infrastructure in all Egyptian clubs in all governorates, explaining that during the era of El-Sisi the Egyptian sports infrastructure has been developed significantly, which has led to Egypt organizing many tournaments at the international and continental levels. Meanwhile, Ghorab confirmed that the governorate pays great attention to the youth and sports sector and spares no effort in providing full support to the sector for its important role in shaping the awareness and conscience of young people as they are the effective force for building and developing society, which is completely consistent with the vision of the president of the Republic. Al Sharkia Governor pointed out the importance of practicing sports as it contributes building the bodies and minds of young people and is one of the important means of exploiting their energies in a positive way that benefits society. He stressed the necessity of continuing to care for young people and discovering their creative skills in various sports, cultural and social activities and benefiting from them in development fields. .
