Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al Sharkia Governor, accompanied by Mr. Amr Al Shafei, Managing Director and CEO of Emirates NBD Bank - Egypt, opened the branch of Emirates NBD Bank - Egypt in Zagazig in the presence of Mr. Mustafa Ramzy, Director of Retail Banking, Mr. Ihab Kasbar, General Manager of Branches, and Mr. Michael Jamil, General Manager of Accounts, banking, Mr. Ahmed Zia, Director of Emirates NBD Bank - Egypt, Zagazig Branch, and a number of parliamentarians. The governor and bank officials inspected the branch’s sections, and the governor listened to an explanation about the working mechanism and the services provided to customers. He said, “Al-Sharkia is one of the promising and attractive governorates for investment due to its distinguished location and its possession of a giant economic structure and promising industrial zones,” pointing to the importance of supporting and financing small and medium enterprises. The governor explained that Emirates NBD - Egypt represents a new addition to the banking sector in Zagazig and contributes enabling different customer segments to obtain the best banking services. "We look forward to more cooperation and coordination with all banks to support and finance all medium and small projects in the governorate, which contributes to provide... Job opportunities and improving the economy." For his part, Mr. Amr Al Shafei, Managing Director and CEO of Emirates NBD Bank - Egypt, indicated that the opening of Zagazig branch comes within the framework of the bank’s endeavor to serve a wider group of customers in line with the strategic steps to expand geographically to create new markets, develop the bank’s services, grow its customer base, and pump new investments into the Egyptian market as well as working to support the Egyptian state’s plans to achieve financial inclusion by offering unique retail banking to more customers to serve the Egyptian economy. On the sidelines of the opening, the Managing Director and CEO of Emirates NBD Bank - Egypt presented the governor with a commemorative shield in appreciation of his prominent role in improving the level of services provided to citizens in all service and development sectors.
