Title:At a cost of 100 million pounds, Al Sharkia governor inspects Akwa Bank Road paving works

Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al Sharkia Governor, confirmed that Zagazig and all the centers and cities of the governorate are witnessing a strong interest in the road sector by raising their efficiency and creating new traffic axes. This came during his inspection of Akwa Bank Road, extending Tolba Oweidah Street, passing through the villages of Shibah and Al-Nakaria, reaching Al-Qanayat/ Al-Ashraf Road, along 2,4 km and an average width of 12 m in each direction, in order to begin the work of completing the coverage of the remaining 1,100 m of the road using the Box Section system, at a cost of 100 million pounds, by Sinai Reconstruction Authority, as it is a new traffic axis that contributes accommodating the movement of cars and heavy transport heading to Deirb Nejm and Zagazig/ Mit Ghamr Road. . Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads and Transport explained that all obstacles to the implementation of the project have been removed, as well as coordination with the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company to develop a periodic plan to maintain the drain after completing the coverage work to ensure that the covers are not blocked and to benefit from the road to improve the internal road network, which will reflect on raising the efficiency of the infrastructure in the road sector.. The governor praised the efforts of Sinai Reconstruction Authority in improving the infrastructure and good implementation of paving and covering projects in cooperation with the heads of the centers, cities and concerned service directorates, stressing that Al-Sharkia Governorate is witnessing a real boom in the paving sector in line with the development and beautification plan witnessed by the cities of the governorate. The governor's tour also witnessed the seizure of a heavy truck with a trailer traveling in the opposite direction in Al Ramliyah axis in Zagazig. The governor instructed traffic police to stop it and take all legal measures against its driver and apply the law to maintain the security and safety of passers-by. The governor assigned the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads and Transport, in coordination with the head of Zagazig Center and the Director of the Traffic Department, to quickly complete the re-planning of the traffic axis (Nazla Road 33) and expand it in order to facilitate the movement of transport vehicles heading to Deirb Nejm Road and to reduce the movement of cars and the U-turn traffic congestion in front of Entrance to Al-Ghasham Street. Ghorab went to inspect Al-Auja Canal behind Al-Quds Mosque in Zagazig to direct the head of the center, in coordination with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads and Transport and the head of the Central Administration for Water Resources and Irrigation, to quickly complete the work of clearing the canal and begin immediately the procedures for covering the canal and paving the road to benefit from it as a new traffic axis extending from the Mansoura Parking Road. Reaching Bahnbai Road and facilitating the entry of cars coming from the centers in the north of the governorate onto the regional road without entering Zagazig, in order to reduce the amount of congestion there and in implementation of the governorate’s plan to open new traffic axes that contribute saving time and effort for travelers.
