Al-Sharkia Governor Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni honored 81 top male and female students from the Preparatory, General Secondary, Al-Azhar, and Technical Diploma examinations, presenting them with financial rewards and certificates of appreciation in recognition of their excellence and encouragement to continue achieving outstanding results.
The honors were presented during a ceremony organized by Sharqia Governorate in cooperation with the Directorate of Education and the Sharqia Al-Azhar Region at Zagazig Culture Palace, attended by the Deputy Governor, senior executive officials, education and Al-Azhar officials, the honored students, and their families.
The ceremony featured the national anthem, Qur’an recitation, poetry, and religious praises and supplications.
In his remarks, Governor El-Ashmouni expressed his happiness at honoring the governorate’s outstanding students who achieved top positions at both the national and governorate levels.
He affirmed that the Egyptian state is committed to developing the education system through modern educational programs and methods that help prepare new generations capable of contributing to the nation’s future. He also encouraged the students to continue their academic excellence under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The Governor noted that the state continues to construct, renovate, and upgrade schools to provide students with a suitable educational environment. He pointed out that construction, renovation, and upgrading works have been completed at 165 schools, comprising 2,926 classrooms, at a total cost of EGP 1.7274 billion, as part of the 2025/2026 fiscal year plan.
He added that, as part of Sharqia Governorate’s 145th National Day celebrations, 30 new schools comprising 1,907 classrooms will be inaugurated, as part of the governorate’s plan to reduce classroom overcrowding.
The Governor expressed his pride in the outstanding achievements of Sharqia’s students and their top rankings at the national and governorate levels. He extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to parents for their support and sacrifices, as well as to teachers and education officials in both general and Al-Azhar education for their continuous efforts to provide quality education and help students achieve further excellence.
For his part, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Mohamed Ramadan thanked the Sharqia Governor for his continued support of the governorate’s education system, including reducing the number of schools operating double shifts and lowering classroom densities. He noted that this support contributed to outstanding results, including one student from Sharqia achieving first place nationwide in the General Secondary Certificate, 35 students achieving top positions at the governorate level, and a visually impaired female student securing first place at the governorate level.
The First Undersecretary also noted that six students achieved top positions in the Technical Secondary Certificate at the governorate level, while 14 students achieved top positions in the Preparatory Certificate.
Dr. El-Sayed El-Geneidy, Head of the Central Administration of Sharqia Al-Azhar Region, congratulated the Governor and the people of Sharqia on the approaching new academic year. He highlighted that, thanks to the efforts of Sharqia’s students and the governorate’s continued support, five students achieved top positions nationwide in Al-Azhar secondary education, in addition to students who achieved top positions at the governorate level, including two students with disabilities.
The Head of the Central Administration noted that six students achieved top positions at the governorate level in the Al-Azhar Preparatory Certificate, while five students with disabilities also achieved top positions in the same certificate, demonstrating Al-Azhar’s continued commitment to supporting education, knowledge, and the correct understanding of Islam.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, Sharqia Governor honored the First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and the Head of the Central Administration of the Sharqia Al-Azhar Region, presenting each with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding performance and effective supervision of the educational process, which contributed to students achieving top positions at the national and governorate levels.
The Governor also expressed his appreciation and pride for the sincere efforts of the honored education leaders, affirming that honoring outstanding figures recognizes their dedication and role in advancing education and serving students.
In this context, the Governor honored Amin Abdel Azim Mansour, Director of West Zagazig Educational Administration, as the Best Educational Leader Reaching the Legal Retirement Age; and Mohamed Mansour Mohamed Ismail, Director of Abu Hammad Educational Administration, as the Best Educational Administration Director.
He also honored the Best School Principals: Khaled Mohamed Mohamedy Azab, Principal of Mashtoul El-Qady Secondary School; Mansour Ibrahim Abdel Aal, Principal of Colonel Khaled Mansour Nour El-Din Basic Education School; and Mohamed El-Sayed Salama Mahdy, Principal of Sheikh Abu Hashem Primary School.
The Governor also honored Al-Azhar leaders in recognition of their outstanding efforts. Samir Bakry Abdel Hamid, Director of Al-Husseiniya Al-Azhar Administration, was named Best Administration Director. The Best Institute Sheikhs honored were Ibrahim Wafa Ibrahim Hassan, Sheikh of Al-Husseiniya Secondary Institute for Boys; Ibrahim Abdel Samie Abdel Ghany El-Sayed, Sheikh of Al-Husseiniya Preparatory Institute for Girls; and Abu Muslim El-Shahat Abu Muslim El-Sayed, Sheikh of Al-Safwa Primary Institute.
The Governor affirmed that the state values dedicated members of society and is committed to supporting and motivating exemplary figures who contribute to building aware generations capable of continuing the nation’s development journey.
