Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, affirmed the state’s concern in supporting initiatives and events which target women, providing diverse services and activities that contribute in enhancing their capabilities and empowering them economically and socially, implementing successive educational and training plans on various crafts and providing marketing opportunities and prospects to achieve the goal of economic and social empowerment for women.

In a related context, the Governor delegated Engineer Lubna Abdel Aziz, the Deputy Governor, to attend the "Together for You" event at "Safe Oasis" in Faqous. This event aimed to support and empower women socially and economically, integrating them into society, in implementation of the National Strategy for Empowering Egyptian Women 2030, under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Republic.

For her part, the Deputy Governor explained the importance of the "Safe City for Women" project in Faqous in empowering women economically, improving their livelihoods and providing them with community awareness through events and seminars. She noted that it is the first women-friendly city, safe and free from all forms of violence against women and stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination among all the relevant entities to provide comprehensive services for women.
