Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al-Sharkia, visited the Diocese of Faqus to extend congratulations to His Eminence Bishop Makar, Bishop of Faqus and the Tenth of Ramadan, and the Christian brothers on the occasion of Christmas.

This came in the presence of Engineer Lubna Abdel Aziz, Deputy Governor, Engineer Sami Mojil, Assistant Secretary General of the Governorate, Mr. Muhammad Al-Abasiri, Head of the Center and City of Faqus, representatives of the Endowments, Al-Azhar, Islamic clerics, and a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The visit began with a minute's silence for the souls of the martyrs of Palestine, wishing the injured a speedy recovery, the end of this crisis, and the achievement of security and peace

The Governor affirmed that Egypt, with its Muslims and Christians, will remain a beacon of brotherhood and love and a model of tolerance and coexistence among its people, wishing our beloved country to enjoy security, safety and stability under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, so that the process of development and construction continues.

Al-Sharkia Governor reviewed the extent of the achievement achieved on the governorate’s land in various service and development sectors with a clear vision from the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic, in order to bring about comprehensive development and change the lives of citizens for the better, pointing out that the total number of projects that have been accomplished in the implementation of sectors ( Drinking water and sanitation - roads - housing - education - youth and sports - educational buildings - health - catering - veterinary medicine) is unprecedented and was able to change the shape of citizens’ lives, pointing out that the volume of investments in implementing service and development projects during the past ten years exceeded 62 billion, we are working hard to improve the level of services provided to citizens.

For his part, His Eminence Bishop Makar, Bishop of Faqus and the 10th of Ramadan, expressed his gratitude for the visit of the Governor of the Sharqia to congratulate the Christian brothers on Christmas, stressing that the message of the heavenly religions to all is to spread love and peace, as the cohesive national fabric is the basic pillar for building and developing nations.
